We are a community of like-minded people from diverse backgrounds who are committed to sharing ideas, working together, and taking action to create positive change.

Service

Involvement with a variety of local and international service projects chosen by our members.

Fundraising

Tee It Up for a Cause Annual Golf Tournament to raise money to support our projects within the community and around the world.

Fellowship

Opportunities beyond our weekly meetings to strengthen our bond in a fun and social setting.

Personal Growth

Weekly speakers sharing their expertise on a wide range of topics, as well as training and leadership development through Rotary District seminars and classes.

Club History

In 2010, a committed group of long-time Rotarians recognized the importance of attracting younger members as key to a club’s success.

Working with District Governor Don Thomas, these founding members created a model that would break from tradition in order to attract younger professionals.

Rather than the typical breakfast or lunch meeting time, this new club would meet at a convenient time – 5:30 to 6:45 pm, be affordable, and most importantly, focus on having FUN while doing what Rotary does best—SERVING!

The Rotary Club of Sarasota Southside was officially chartered in December 2010 with 20 members leading the way. Earning a reputation as “the little club that could,” Sarasota Southside continues to make invaluable contributions within the community and throughout the world.

Founded in 2013, The Rotary Club of Sarasota Southside Foundation is the charitable arm of our club.

Proceeds raised at our annual golf tournament, as well as donations from members and people from outside our club, allow us to support a wide range of worthwhile projects locally and around the world.
